Syrian oil.
Syria's oil sector is open to investment again. We connect you with the right authorities and opportunities.
The fields
Syria's oil lies in the east and northeast: heavy crude in Hasakah and lighter crude along the Euphrates in Deir ez-Zor. It moves west to the refineries at Homs and Baniyas.

Output, then and now
Oil was found at Karatchok in 1956, and production began in 1968, with the first barrel reaching Tartus. Output peaked near 600,000 barrels a day in the mid-1990s, slid to about 385,000 by 2010, and collapsed during the war. Recovery now depends on rebuilding wells, pipelines and plants.
Where the opportunities are
The oil is still in the ground. What holds output back is damaged wells, pipelines and plants, and that is where investment is needed.
Who you will deal with
Three public bodies decide most oil and gas investments. Terms are still negotiated case by case, so knowing who to speak to, and in what order, matters.
The road back
Since late 2025, sanctions have eased, the fields have returned to one operator, and international companies have started signing on.
How we help investors
We are facilitators. We help investors find the right opportunity, reach the right people and move a project through to a start on the ground.
